Job description Highways & Skyways Transportation, LLC is a regional carrier based in Gastonia, NC with immediate openings for multiple experienced Regional OTR Owner-Operators. We are looking for drivers with sleeper tractors within about 40-50 miles of Charlotte.     Owner-Operators only, no Fleet owners. Compensation:     76% of the billed rate including FSC.     Paid every Friday.     1099 pay, no W-2 Position:     Regional OTR – Southeast Region -16 states (Frequent lanes are Charlotte to Florida, Charlotte to Tuscumbia AL, Charlotte to Olive Branch MS, and Charlotte to Louisville KY)     2500+ miles per week     HOME EVERY WEEKEND(Friday or Saturday depending on the delivery schedule) Highways & Skyways Transportation, LLC furnishes 53' dry van trailers. Loads are no touch, a combination of live load/ and drop/hook loads. Owner-Operator Requirements:     23 years of age     2-3 years of CDL A experience     Good/steady work history     MVR – 2 or fewer violations in the last 3 years.     No DOT reportable accidents or major violations in the last 3 years     No Failed or refused drug test during the previous 10 years.     No DUI or felony over the last 10 years Responsibilities:     Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.     Transport goods over long distances, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.     Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.     Load and unload cargo with attention to detail and care for the products being transported.     Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate routes and delivery schedules.
